Membership Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) are entered into between Samsonite Asia Limited (“Samsonite Hong Kong”) (registered address: 25/F, Tower 2, The Gateway, Harbour City, 25 Canton Road, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong) and you (the “Member” or “you”).

  1. The Samsonite Loyalty Program Hong Kong and Macao membership (collectively the “Membership”) is organized by Samsonite Hong Kong. You are entitled to enjoy certain benefits with the Membership. All Membership benefits as well as any further terms regarding how you can access such benefits as a holder of the Membership or otherwise applicable to such benefits, such further terms being incorporated by reference into these Terms and Conditions. The Membership including its possession and use by you shall be subject to the Terms and Conditions in effect at the time of use of the Membership by you. Your use of the Membership is deemed acceptance by you of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Samsonite Hong Kong shall have absolute right to revise these Terms and Conditions (including amending any of the Membership’s benefits or how you can access such benefits) at any time at its sole discretion. If Samsonite Hong Kong changes these rules, we shall notify our Members via any one or more of the following methods: a) email, b) SMS, c) Samsonite Hong Kong official website etc. If you continue to use the Membership service after the amendments becomes effective, you will be deemed to have fully accepted such amendments.
  3. If you wish to enjoy the benefits under the Membership, you should provide your contact details, i.e. your telephone number and/or email address and /or e-Membership issued by Samsonite Hong Kong from time to time for our verification purpose before checking out.
  4. Membership is valid and effective from the moment you fill in and submit the Membership application on Samsonite Hong Kong official website, designated official Samsonite Hong Kong and Macao retail stores, or other websites, applications and/or platforms designated by Samsonite hereinafter that provide Membership registration services.

    Your Samsonite Loyalty Program Hong Kong Membership is valid for lifetime, unless a member specifically requests to terminate the member account or if you call the Samsonite Hong Kong customer service centre hotline : +852-2422-2611 (Call charges may apply) or email to info.HongKong@samsonite.com to apply for termination or upon occurrence of other circumstances when the Membership should be terminated according to the Member Regulations. The Membership tier will have a certain validity period according to your spending and purchase situation. Members of different tiers enjoy specific Membership privileges during their respective validity periods.
  5. The Green Membership tiers are valid permanently, and the Sliver/ Gold/ Platinum Membership tiers are valid for 12 months. The validity period of the Green tier is calculated from the date the Membership becomes effective; the validity period of a Silver/ Gold/ Platinum tiered member is calculated from the day of promotion.

    For example, if a Gold tiered member joins or is promoted from Sliver tier on 2nd January, 2019, its Gold tier Membership will be valid until 2nd January, 2020, during the absence of a valid renewal.
  6. Unless otherwise terminated in accordance and/or to the violation of specific clauses stipulated within the Member Terms and Conditions, Green tier members have no Membership tier validity period.
  7. Membership Renewal/ Upgrade: Sliver/ Gold/ Platinum tier Memberships may be automatically renewed if the accumulated actual purchases and spending at designated amount made by a Sliver/ Gold/ Platinum tier Membership on Samsonite Hong Kong Official Website or designated official Samsonite Hong Kong and Macao retail stores (no returns or refunds) within the validity period for the Sliver/ Gold/ Platinum tier Membership; the Sliver/ Gold/ Platinum Membership will automatically be extended / upgraded for another 12 consecutive months after the accumulated spending amounts reached a designated amount. However, if the member fails to accumulate purchases to a designated amount within the validity period of the Membership, the member will automatically be demoted to a Green tier Membership at the end of the validity period of the Sliver/ Gold/ Platinum tier Membership.
  8. Samsonite Hong Kong shall have sole discretion to upgrade and/or downgrade your Membership level without further confirmation.
  9. Accumulated Spending Amount

    The actual amount paid by members through cash, bank card, or online payment for purchases on Samsonite Hong Kong Official Website and designated official Samsonite Hong Kong and Macao retail stores at any time in Hong Kong Dollars will be counted as accumulated spending amount (for purchases in Macao, HK$1 = MOP 1.05). For example, if a member spends HK$500, s/he can get an accumulated spending amount of 500 counted in the Membership account If a member spends MOP 500, s/he can get an accumulated spending amount of 475 counted in the Membership account.

    For the avoidance of doubt, before you successfully register a member of Samsonite Loyalty Program Hong Kong Membership member account via the Samsonite Hong Kong Official Website or the designated official Samsonite Hong Kong and Macao retail stores, any amount you actually paid for shopping on the Samsonite Hong Kong Official Website or designated official Samsonite Hong Kong retail stores will not be accumulated within any member account.

    After the product is purchased, the member can return the product with the official receipt (proof of purchase) approved by Samsonite Hong Kong according to the return policy published on the official website of Samsonite Hong Kong. If the product is returned, the accumulated spending amount for purchasing the product will be cancelled. Please refer to the details within our return policy page for more information regarding returns.

    Members can check their accumulated spending amount after logging in to their account on Samsonite Hong Kong Official Website, where the valid accumulated spending amount generated by each purchase will be displayed within the dashboard on their account on the 7th day after the purchase has been completed.

    The spending amount will not be accumulated under the following cases:
    - Purchases not made or completed on Samsonite Hong Kong Official Website or designated official Samsonite Hong Kong and Macao retail stores
    - Gifts or premiums in promotional campaigns, events, and activities
    - Products purchased via employee discount
    - If Members resell their products on third-party sites or e-commerce platforms, the actual purchase amount paid by said member will not be accumulated within their spending amount. Samsonite Hong Kong retains the right to deduct or adjust their accumulated spending amount that may have been generated at Samsonite Hong Kong’s sole discretion.

    Any accumulated spending amount cannot be transferred, assigned, collected, or gifted to another Member or a third party.

    Actual purchase amount and accumulated spending amount cannot be exchanged for cash, redeemed, or repaid, and no exchanges can be given.
  10. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Samsonite Hong Kong (including its directors, officers, agents, consultants and associates, along with Samsonite Hong Kong’s related companies (including affiliate and subsidiary companies)) is not liable to you for any loss, damage or liability (whether direct, consequential, indirect, economic or otherwise) incurred by you in relation to the Membership, including in relation to: (a) your use of the Membership; (b) if the Membership is used by any third party, whether with or without your permissions; (c) your loss of the Membership details (or any liability incurred via your loss of the Membership details, whether before or after you notify us regarding your loss of the Membership details); (d) any revisions to these Terms and Conditions (including revisions to any of the Membership’s benefits); (e) any cancellation of the Membership; or (f) any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you.
  11. You acknowledge and agree that any personal data which you provide to Samsonite Hong Kong in your application for or use of the Membership will be collected, used and stored in accordance with our Privacy Policy available at https://www.samsonite.com.hk/en/privacy-policy.html and applicable law.
  12. To provide you with benefits, newsletters and/or promotional materials of Samsonite Hong Kong and Macao in a timely and quality manner, please keep Samsonite Hong Kong updated whenever you changed your personal information, i.e. email address, correspondence address or contact telephone number, so that Samsonite Hong Kong can update its records accordingly.
  13. The Membership is available for any Samsonite stores (a list of stores can be found at https://www.samsonite.com.hk/en/stores) in Hong Kong and Macao and our online website https://www.samsonite.com.hk/en/home.
  14. In case of any dispute, Samsonite Hong Kong reserves the right to reasonably interpret these Terms and Conditions if any of them are unclear or equivocal. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong (including where any issues arise in respect of the use of the Membership in Hong Kong and Macao).
  15. These Terms and Conditions are drafted in both traditional Chinese and English. In case of discrepancies, the English version shall prevail.
